After more than 23 years in public practice, Manpreet Benipal noticed that many small and medium business owners only heard from their accountant once a year. Their tax got filed, their returns were lodged, but between those touchpoints, there was silence. She founded MKB because she believed the relationship between an accountant and their clients should be ongoing, attentive, and genuinely useful throughout the year.

About Manpreet
Manpreet completed her Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting, at the Manukau Institute of Technology in 2002, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Professional Accounting in 2003. She became a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2007.
Over her career, she's worked with sole traders, small to medium-sized businesses, trusts, rental property portfolios, and new ventures across a wide range of industries. That breadth means she can step into most business situations and quickly understand what's happening, what needs attention, and where the opportunities sit.
She's also someone who picks up the phone and genuinely cares whether her clients feel confident about their finances. That's the kind of accountant she set out to be, and it's the kind of practice MKB is.
